Situated in the Massif de la Selle mountain range, this park protects pine forests and high-altitude grassland habitats. Birdwatchers visit to spot numerous endemic Caribbean bird species and unique regional flora.
Access. Reached via rough roads from Port-au-Prince or Kenscoff, requiring a rugged vehicle and experienced guide.
Notes. Cooler mountain climate; visitor facilities are limited, so preparation is essential.

A rugged mountainous protected area in southwestern Haiti boasting dense cloud forests and high biodiversity. It serves as a crucial refuge for endemic bird species and rare amphibians found nowhere else on earth.
Access. Accessible via rugged mountain tracks from Les Cayes, best navigated with local guides and 4x4 transport.
Notes. Hiking trails can be steep and demanding; local guides are mandatory for park entry and safety.
