Punta Roca is a classic right‑hand reef break that delivers fast, hollow barrels on a steep, rocky bottom. It attracts intermediate to advanced surfers looking for powerful, consistent waves.
Access. From San Salvador take a 45‑minute bus or taxi to La Libertad and walk or ride a short shuttle to the break. Local surf schools such as Surf El Café offer board rentals and lessons.
Notes. Sharp reef can be hazardous at low tide; strong currents are common. Best season May‑October when swells are most consistent.
