Surfing here is geographically inconsistent and lacks the established breaks found in more popular coastal destinations. The wind patterns rarely align to create the clean, rideable waves that a visitor would typically seek. It is not a viable destination for a dedicated surf trip.

The waters around the Mushali Islands provide pristine open-water conditions with steady sea breezes. It serves as an emerging spot for adventurous kiteboarders looking for flat-water lagoons and untouched scenery.
Access. Reached via a short boat charter from the port of Djibouti City. Visitors must arrange private boat transport and bring all necessary gear.
Notes. Remote island chain with no infrastructure; self-sufficiency is mandatory.
