The vibe
This is not an established tourist activity here, as coastal waters are heavily utilized by commercial and artisanal net fishermen rather than recreational stalkers. Visitors will find no local charters, gear rentals, or organized support for underwater hunting. Trying to pursue this activity independently is impractical and culturally out of step with local maritime traditions.

Nha Trang offers a unique tropical spearfishing environment centered around the granite-strewn islands of Hon Mun and Hon Tre. These waters feature a mix of rocky outcrops and coral gardens, providing habitat for snapper, grouper, and various trevally species.
Access. Spearfishing-specific charters are niche but can be arranged through local specialized fishing clubs or private boat captains operating out of Cau Da Port. Travelers should explicitly request a 'spearfishing' guide, as standard fishing boats focus on line-fishing.
Notes. Spearfishing is permitted, but visitors must avoid designated Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) around Hon Mun. Always verify current local regulations with your charter operator as zoning can change.
