Spearfishing is not a standard visitor activity here and is generally restricted or discouraged in most accessible coastal waters. It is best to avoid planning a trip around this, as the regulatory environment is complex and often prohibitive for casual travelers. You will find no real visitor scene for this, and attempting to engage in it can lead to significant legal complications.

This region is known for its rugged coastline and deeper, nutrient-rich waters that attract a variety of reef fish. It is a popular destination for experienced hunters looking for structure-heavy terrain and slightly clearer water conditions compared to the inner harbor.
Access. Access is best achieved by chartering a private vessel from the Tai Po or Wong Shek piers. There is no commercial 'spearfishing tourism' industry, so visitors typically connect with local spearfishing enthusiasts or private boat captains who cater to the fishing community.
Notes. Ensure you are well outside the boundaries of the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. Always check local weather and tide conditions, as currents in the channel can be strong.
