Located near the Tunisian border, this barrier island features shallow, turquoise lagoons with exceptionally clear water. It is a peaceful spot for snorkeling over sandy bottoms and seagrass beds that attract diverse Mediterranean marine life.
Access. Accessible via small private boat charters from the nearby mainland coast of Zuwara.
Notes. The area is remote; bring all necessary snorkeling gear as there are no rental facilities on the island.
Soussa Underwater Ruins

Snorkelers can explore the submerged ruins of the ancient Greek city of Apollonia, where marble columns and stone structures lie in shallow, crystal-clear water. It offers a unique combination of historical exploration and marine observation in a protected bay.
Access. Shore entry is possible from the beach in Soussa, though local guides are recommended to identify the best submerged sections.
