Snorkeling here is practically non-existent due to murky inland waters and lack of marine life, making it a strange choice for a water holiday. Visitors looking for clear-water swimming will find little to see beneath the surface. It is entirely absent from the usual visitor experience.

Famous for its submerged spruce trees, this high-altitude lake offers a surreal, cold-water snorkeling experience. The water is exceptionally clear, allowing snorkelers to drift among the preserved, ghostly trunks of the sunken forest.
Access. Accessible via 4x4 transport from Saty village; visitors typically bring their own gear as there are no formal rental shops on-site.
Notes. The water is extremely cold, requiring a thick wetsuit. High altitude precautions apply.
