Church Bay is one of Bermuda's premier shore-snorkeling spots, featuring dramatic rock formations and vibrant coral reefs close to the pink-sand beach. Swimmers can easily spot parrotfish, surgeonfish, and angelfish darting through the shallows. The protected cove keeps water conditions relatively calm on clear days.
Access. Direct shore entry from the beach. Snorkel gear rentals and concessions are typically available right on the beach during the summer season.
Notes. Can experience strong surge and currents when ocean swells pick up; check conditions before entering.
Tobacco Bay

Famous for its unique limestone rock formations rising out of turquoise waters, Tobacco Bay offers sheltered snorkeling teeming with juvenile reef fish, sergeant majors, and Bermuda chub. The shallow, clear water makes it exceptionally popular for casual snorkelers and families. It is located just a short distance from the historic town of St. George's.
Access. Easy shore entry directly from the beach. Equipment rentals, lockers, and food concessions operate on-site during peak season.
Notes. Can become very crowded during cruise ship days; visiting early in the morning offers the clearest water and quieter conditions.
