The vibe

Perched high in the Maloti Mountains, Afriski is the only commercial ski resort in Lesotho and one of the few in southern Africa. It offers a main slope equipped with snow-making facilities, a snow fun park, and beginner areas.
Access. Accessible via 4x4 vehicles or domestic flights to Maseru followed by a scenic mountain drive through the Mokhotlong district.
Notes. Ski season typically runs from June to August during the southern hemisphere winter. Elevation is around 3,220 meters.
