Levi is Finland's most popular ski resort, featuring a vibrant village atmosphere and a wide variety of slopes suitable for all skill levels. It is famous for hosting World Cup slalom events and offering unique experiences like glass igloo stays under the Northern Lights.
Access. Fly into Kittilä Airport (KTT), which is a short 15-minute shuttle ride from the resort. The village is compact and walkable, with most amenities located near the main lifts.
Notes. The season runs from late October to early May. Temperatures can drop significantly below freezing, so high-quality thermal gear is essential.

Pyhä is celebrated for its commitment to sustainability and its challenging terrain, which is steeper than most Finnish resorts. It serves as a quieter, more rugged alternative to larger hubs, with direct access to the pristine wilderness of Pyhä-Luosto National Park.
Access. Fly into Rovaniemi Airport (RVN) and take a 90-minute shuttle bus or rental car to the resort. The area is well-connected by local ski bus services.
Notes. Excellent for advanced skiers looking for steeper pitches and off-piste opportunities within the resort boundaries.
Ruka

Ruka is a high-energy resort known for its long season and excellent snow park facilities, making it a favorite for freestyle enthusiasts. The resort is highly efficient, with a pedestrian-friendly village center that keeps all services within easy reach of the slopes.
Access. Fly into Kuusamo Airport (KAO), which is approximately 25 kilometers from the resort. Regular shuttle buses connect the airport to the Ruka village center.
Notes. One of the most snow-reliable resorts in Europe, often operating from October until June.
Saariselkä

Located deep in the Arctic Circle, Saariselkä is the northernmost ski resort in the European Union. It offers a unique experience where the slopes are surrounded by the vast, snowy landscapes of Urho Kekkonen National Park.
Access. Fly into Ivalo Airport (IVL), which is just a 25-minute drive from the resort. Frequent airport buses make access straightforward for international travelers.
Notes. The extreme northern location makes it a prime spot for viewing the Aurora Borealis while enjoying the snow.
