January and February reliably pile up deep snow across the high plateaus. You buy a simple paper lift ticket at the base station and join local families and weekenders on the drag lifts.

Bosnia’s largest ski area, 30 km from Sarajevo, offers 16 km of groomed runs across gentle slopes and challenging black runs, plus a snow park.
Access. Fly into Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) and take a 30‑minute taxi or shuttle to the resort; lift tickets sold on‑site.
Notes. Season runs Dec to early April; snow park open late season; reliable snowmaking.
Prenj Mountain – Backcountry Ski Touring
