You will mostly share the paths with other curious wanderers, though the major fortifications draw gentle crowds and pre-booked ticket holders during peak hours.

Located on a tidal island in St. Aubin's Bay, Elizabeth Castle has served as a defensive stronghold since the 16th century. Travelers can walk across the causeway at low tide or take the amphibious 'Castle Ferry' to explore the barracks, bunkers, and the vantage point where Sir Walter Raleigh once lived.
Access. Accessible by foot at low tide or via the dedicated ferry service departing from the St. Helier harbor slipway.
Notes. Check tide tables before attempting to walk the causeway; the castle is closed during winter months.
