The vibe
Sightseeing here feels like a raw, uncurated encounter with history where you are more likely to be greeted by curious locals than a queue of tour buses. The dry season from November to February is the most comfortable time to navigate the terrain without the heavy rains turning paths into mud. It is a deeply DIY experience where you move at your own pace through landscapes that feel entirely your own.
