Varna Bay and the rugged cliffs stretching north toward Balchik and Cape Kaliakra offer rewarding coastal cruising grounds for sailors in the western Black Sea. The area features steady afternoon breezes, historic ports, and modern marinas hosting regional regattas and charter fleets.
Access. Accessible via Marina Varna and Marina Balchik, both of which provide bareboat and skippered charter options as well as yacht club facilities.
Notes. Summer brings favorable thermal winds and pleasant water temperatures, though sudden localized squalls can occur.
