What Travelust does
Travelust helps you browse travel desires on an interactive map and optionally open a planning view. Most of the experience runs in your browser; pin and desire data are loaded from our API.
Information we process
- Map use (essential). Selected desires, map position (location and zoom), and similar preferences may be stored in your browser (
localStorageand/or the page URL) so you can restore or share a session. This stays on your device unless you share a link with someone else. - Map tiles (essential). The map loads imagery from third-party tile providers (currently CARTO, with OpenStreetMap attribution). Your device requests tiles for the area you are viewing. SeeOpenStreetMapandCARTO for their terms.
- Hosting and delivery. The static site may be served via Cloudflare. The API may run on an OVHcloud VPS. These providers process connection metadata (such as IP address, timestamps, and user agent) to deliver the service and help protect against abuse.
- Analytics (optional). If you allow analytics in Cookie settings, we may use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager to understand aggregate usage. Analytics storage stays off until you consent.
- Admin only. The password-protected admin area uses an HTTP-only session cookie. That area is not part of the public product.
Cookies and consent
We use an opt-in cookie banner. Essential cookies and storage keep the site working. Analytics cookies (for example _ga) are set only after you allow them. You can open Cookie settings anytime from the menu.
How long we keep data
Browser preferences stay until you clear site data. Consent choices are stored for up to 182 days (you may be asked again after that). Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and abuse prevention.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact the operator above to exercise these rights.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or providers change. The current version is always published on this page.
