There are no clubs or bars to speak of, so entertainment revolves around lingering over endless rounds of tea in private courtyards. The atmosphere is completely local, entirely low-key, and shaped by traditional rhythms rather than a visitor scene.

Tevragh-Zeina is the primary hub for upscale nightlife in Mauritania's capital, featuring a concentration of international-style lounges and hotel-based venues. It serves as the city's social center where expatriates and the local elite gather for evening drinks and conversation in a relaxed, urban atmosphere.
Access. Located in the central-western part of Nouakchott, easily accessible by taxi from any part of the city.
Notes. Alcohol consumption is restricted to specific licensed venues, primarily within international hotels and private clubs. Modest dress is advised outside of these specific venues.
