Most trips are entirely self-planned, requiring careful tide table reading rather than joining mass-market tours.

These small, car-free islands offer some of the most pristine turquoise waters in the Channel Islands, perfect for sea kayaking. Paddlers can explore the sheltered sandy bays, rocky outcrops, and the narrow, tidal channel between Herm and Jethou.
Access. Kayak rentals and guided tours are available from Herm Harbour during the summer season. Visitors typically take a short ferry from St Peter Port in Guernsey to reach the island.
Notes. Strong tidal currents exist between the islands; check tide tables and weather conditions carefully. Best visited between May and September.
