The vibe
You trace the edge of high granite cliffs where the Atlantic wind meets quiet pasture, stepping over stiles on coastal paths that feel closer to an endless English garden walk than a rugged alpine trek. Late spring brings wild campion and unbroken sunshine across the headlands, making it the finest window for day-long walking without the heavy sweat of summer. The tracks are completely open and DIY, shared mostly by local dog-walkers and the occasional wandering visitor pausing to watch the tide churn below.

This stunning network of coastal paths stretches along the rugged southern cliffs, offering dramatic views of the English Channel and neighboring islands. The terrain is undulating and well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of challenging ascents and peaceful, scenic stretches through gorse and heather.
Access. The paths are easily accessed from various points along the south coast, including St Peter Port, Fermain Bay, and Pleinmont. They are open to the public year-round and form part of the longer Guernsey coastal trail system.
Notes. Paths can be slippery after rain; sturdy footwear is recommended. Coastal erosion occasionally necessitates minor diversions.
