Bukit Shahbandar Forest Recreation Park

This park features a series of interconnected hilly trails that are a favorite for fitness enthusiasts and casual hikers. The routes traverse ridges and valleys, offering glimpses of the South China Sea and the surrounding canopy.
Access. Located in the Brunei-Muara District, a short drive from the capital city.
Notes. The trail system is well-marked with multiple loops of varying difficulty levels.

A gentle and scenic trail surrounding Brunei's largest natural lake, a designated ASEAN Heritage Park. The path winds through lush vegetation and boardwalks, perfect for birdwatching and observing the serene black-water lake environment.
Access. Located in the Tutong District, accessible by car from Bandar Seri Begawan via the Tutong-Telisai Highway.
Notes. Best visited in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat.
Ulu Temburong National Park

Known as the 'Green Jewel of Brunei', this pristine rainforest offers elevated canopy walks and challenging jungle trails. Visitors can climb the iconic canopy tower for breathtaking views over the dense, untouched primary forest.
Access. Accessible only by longboat from Bandar Seri Begawan to Bangar, followed by a local transport transfer to the park entrance.
Notes. Guided tours are mandatory for entry into the national park; leeches and high humidity are common.
