The vibe
Walking along Bermuda's limestone cliffs and coastal paths feels like strolling through a living museum, with the ocean on one side and historic fortifications on the other. The mild spring and autumn months offer comfortable temperatures for longer walks. Most hikers are locals or casual tourists; the trails are modest and often shared with walkers, giving a relaxed, community feel.

This scenic trail follows the former route of the Bermuda Railway, spanning nearly the entire length of the island. It offers a mix of coastal vistas, lush woodland passages, and quiet residential stretches, making it the premier way to explore the island's diverse landscapes on foot.
Access. The trail is divided into several sections accessible from various points along the main road; it is best explored in segments using the public bus system to return to your starting point.
Notes. The trail is paved in some sections and natural in others; watch for road crossings where the path breaks.
