Jaðar is famously known as the northernmost 18-hole golf course in the world, perched on a plateau high above Akureyri. It serves as the proud host of the annual Arctic Open, played under the mesmerizing midnight sun.

Access. Located in Akureyri in northern Iceland; reachable via a short domestic flight from Reykjavík or scenic drive along the Ring Road.

Notes. Best experienced in June during the midnight sun tournament; layered clothing recommended due to elevation.

Notes. Playable from May to September; midnight golf is a popular feature during the peak summer solstice weeks.
