The vibe
Freediving is virtually non-existent as a formal visitor activity, with no established schools or community hubs to support the practice. The water conditions are rarely suited for the sport, making it an impractical choice for a holiday here. You would be entirely on your own if you chose to head out, but there is no real scene to speak of.

Known for having some of the clearest water along the Georgian Black Sea coastline, Kvariati provides a rocky seabed that is ideal for breath-hold exploration. The depth drops off relatively quickly from the shore, providing a suitable environment for constant-weight practice.
Access. Accessible directly from the beach, with local freediving groups frequently meeting here for weekend training and depth sessions.
Notes. Boat traffic is minimal near the shore, but swimmers should remain aware of currents during high-wind days.
