Calm, clear waters allow long breath‑holds, but the sport is not widely promoted. Spring and autumn offer cooler temperatures for better buoyancy. Mostly local enthusiasts; few organized events.

Church Bay is a sheltered cove on Bermuda's south shore known for crystal-clear turquoise waters and vibrant nearshore coral reefs. Breath-hold divers and snorkelers explore the rocky outcrops and shallow reef structures that teem with parrotfish and angelfish.
Access. Easily accessed from shore via a short staircase down the cliffside from South Road, making it a popular DIY beach-entry session for independent freedivers.
Notes. Can experience strong surf and surge during southerly swells. Watch out for seasonal boat traffic just outside the cove.
