The waters host a variety of species, but fishing is more of a local pastime than a tourist attraction. Spring and autumn are best for catches. Many local fishermen dominate; tourist charters are limited.

The protected shallow waters of the Great Sound and Harrington Sound offer a unique tropical light-tackle experience. Visitors can target bonefish and pompano in these crystal-clear, sheltered environments.
Access. Accessible via specialized inshore fishing guides who offer flats-fishing charters. Some shore access exists, but a guide is highly recommended to navigate the private and public access nuances.
Notes. Bonefish are strictly catch-and-release in Bermuda. A recreational fishing license is not required for visitors, but adherence to local conservation rules is mandatory.
