The calm leeward waters of the Caribbean Sea off Barbados are prime territory for sportfishing, targeting wahoo, mahi-mahi, barracuda, and blue marlin. The deep drop-offs near the coast allow for productive trolling within a short distance of the shore.
Access. Numerous professional fishing charters operate out of Bridgetown and Port St. Charles, providing all necessary tackle and gear for visitors.
Notes. No specific recreational fishing license is required for visitors on charter boats, but catch-and-release is encouraged for billfish.
