Centred around the historic north of Mauritius, this region is home to some of the island's oldest rum-making traditions and historical estates. Travelers come to explore the deep-rooted connections between local sugarcane cultivation and aged spirits. Guided tastings showcase distinctive molasses-based rums and heritage blends unique to the Indian Ocean.
Access. Easily reached via the main motorway leading north from Port Louis, accessible by taxi or rental vehicle.
