Diving here is defined by the dramatic underwater topography and the sheer number of shipwrecks scattered across the seabed. Late spring through early autumn offers the best visibility and manageable water temperatures for long sessions. It is a well-established scene where you join a local operator to reach the deeper wrecks, making it feel like a professional, organized expedition.

Gibraltar Bay offers fascinating scuba diving around a collection of historic shipwrecks and artificial reefs populated by conger eels, groupers, and vibrant marine growth. The convergence of the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea provides rich waters and varied underwater terrain.
Access. Scuba diving excursions can be booked directly through local dive centers based in Gibraltar's marinas, which run RIBs and dive boats out to the bay sites.
Notes. Depths range from 15 to 30 meters; visibility can vary depending on wind and currents around the Rock.
