The vibe

Pedaling through the countryside involves dodging wandering cattle, blaring horns, and chaotic highway traffic that demands absolute alertness. Early mornings in the cooler winter months provide the only peaceful window for long stretches on the road before the sun and congestion peak. It feels entirely grassroots and unpampered, requiring you to fix your own flats and navigate busy junctions alongside trucks and buses.
