The island is renowned for its 'ruettes tranquilles,' a network of priority-access lanes where cyclists share the road with pedestrians and slow-moving traffic in a peaceful, rural setting.
Access. Bike rentals are widely available in St Peter Port. The island is small enough to traverse entirely by bike, with ferries connecting to the UK and France.
Notes. Best from April to September. Roads are narrow and often feature steep, short climbs; e-bikes are highly popular for navigating the undulating terrain.
