Cycling through the countryside is a test of endurance against rugged, unpaved tracks and unpredictable road conditions where heavy vehicles dominate the flow. The period between November and February provides the most comfortable temperatures for long-distance riding. It feels like a raw, independent journey where you are largely on your own to navigate the rural landscape.
