The vibe

The Lofoten Islands are world-renowned for their granite spires and alpine climbing, rising directly from the Arctic sea. It is a premier destination for traditional rock climbing and mountaineering in a unique coastal setting.
Access. Accessible by flight to Svolvær or Leknes, or by ferry from Bodø. Climbing areas are scattered across the islands.
Notes. The weather is unpredictable and the season is short, typically June to August.
