The Jogasaki Coast on the Izu Peninsula offers dramatic sea-cliff climbing on ancient volcanic lava rock formations overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Climbers seek out its unique basalt pillars and dramatic ocean backdrops.
Access. Take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Atami, transfer to the Ito Line and Izu Kyuko Line, and alight at Jogasaki-Kaigan Station.
