The vibe
Denmark is geographically flat and lacks natural rock formations, making outdoor cragging essentially impossible for visitors. You will find indoor climbing gyms in the larger cities, but there is no tradition of cliff-side climbing to be had in the countryside.

Bornholm is the premier climbing destination in Denmark, offering unique granite cliffs and quarries located along the island's rugged coastline. Climbers travel here for the high-quality, solid granite that provides a variety of technical sport and trad lines in a scenic Baltic setting.
Access. Access the island via ferry from Køge or Ystad. The main climbing areas like Opalsøen and Moseløkken are easily reachable by bike or car from the town of Allinge-Sandvig.
Notes. The climbing is primarily granite; some areas require trad gear, while others are well-bolted. Best visited from late spring to early autumn.
