The vibe
There is no established rock climbing scene here, as the terrain is defined by soft volcanic soil and dense tropical vegetation rather than climbable crags. You are better off focusing your energy on water-based activities, as the geography simply does not support a climbing culture for visitors.

The Baths and surrounding coastal areas on Virgin Gorda feature unique granite boulder fields scattered along the Caribbean shoreline. Climbers travel here for the aesthetic, beach-side bouldering experience amidst massive, smooth volcanic rock formations.
Access. Access is primarily via ferry from Tortola to Virgin Gorda. Local climbing information is available through regional Caribbean climbing forums and guidebooks; visitors should bring their own crash pads as rental availability on the island is limited.
Notes. The rock is granite, distinct from the limestone found elsewhere in the Caribbean. Best climbed during the cooler winter months to avoid intense tropical heat.
