A stunning stretch of white sand located on the northern coast of Taiwan, known for its clear blue waters and crescent shape. It is one of the most picturesque spots near Taipei, offering a refreshing escape from the city with its fine, soft sand.
Access. Easily accessible by bus or car from Tamsui Station; popular with locals and well-equipped with showers and cafes.
Beauty Cave Beach, Xiaoliuqiu

Located on the coral island of Xiaoliuqiu, this area features dramatic limestone formations and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling. The shoreline is defined by its rugged beauty and unique geological features, making it a distinct coastal experience.
Access. Accessible via ferry from Donggang; the beach is reachable by a short walk from the main island road.
Notes. The shore is rocky and coral-rich; water shoes are highly recommended.
Nanwan Beach, Kenting

Often called 'South Bay,' this beach is the crown jewel of Kenting National Park, featuring a long stretch of golden sand and vibrant turquoise water. It is a hub for water sports and sunbathing in a tropical, laid-back setting.
Access. Located directly off the main highway in Kenting; very popular, bustling with activity, and surrounded by rental shops.
Notes. Can get crowded on weekends; strong currents exist during typhoon season.
Qixingtan Beach, Hualien

A breathtaking crescent bay composed entirely of smooth, dark pebbles rather than sand. The deep blue Pacific water against the grey stone shore creates a striking, high-contrast landscape.
Access. Located just north of Hualien City; easily reached by bike or taxi from the city center.
Notes. Swimming is strictly prohibited due to steep drop-offs and dangerous undertows; best for scenic walks.
