The vibe
Sweeping sandy bays shift dramatically with some of the biggest tidal ranges in the world, leaving vast expanses of wet sand and rocky pools twice a day. Mid-summer brings long sunlit evenings ideal for lingering by the shore as the water retreats. The atmosphere stays refreshingly uncommercial, dotted with locals walking dogs and swimmers taking bracing dips rather than crowded resort strips.

The largest beach on the island, Vazon Bay is a vast stretch of sand popular for its open space and clean, refreshing waters. It is a hub for coastal activity and beachgoers.
Access. Very accessible with ample parking along the coast road. It features several beach cafes and facilities.
Notes. Due to its size, it is excellent for swimming even when the island is busy.
