The vibe
The coastline here feels intimate and unhurried, with volcanic sand and turquoise water creating a mood that is far more organic than the manicured resorts found elsewhere. You will find the best conditions during the drier months when the sun stays consistent and the water remains calm. It is a largely DIY experience where you can easily find a stretch of sand to yourself, feeling like a guest in a quiet coastal village rather than a tourist in a crowd.

A popular local favorite on the northeast coast, Bathway Beach is protected by a natural offshore reef that creates a calm, pool-like swimming area. It is a vibrant spot, especially on weekends, with a very authentic Grenadian atmosphere.
Access. Accessible by car on the northeastern coast. The area has picnic facilities and small local vendors.
Notes. The reef provides a safe swimming zone, but stay within the protected area as currents outside the reef can be strong.

Often called 'BBC Beach,' this intimate, crescent-shaped bay is tucked just south of Grand Anse. Its shallow, tranquil waters make it a favorite for families and those seeking a more laid-back, scenic alternative to the busier main beaches.
Access. Accessible by a short walk from the southern end of Grand Anse or via a short drive from St. George's. It is generally quieter with fewer crowds.
