The vibe
The coastline here feels raw and untamed, defined by dark volcanic sands and thick jungle foliage that spills right to the water's edge. You will find the most pleasant atmosphere during the drier months when the humidity settles and the sea remains calm enough for long walks. It is a deeply quiet experience where you are more likely to encounter local fishermen than other travelers, making for a solitary and unpolished escape.

Access. Reached via boat charter or local transit from the mainland coast of Equatorial Guinea. Facilities are basic.

Dramatic dark-sand and volcanic coastal shores located near the southern tip of Bioko Island, backed by lush rainforest cliffs. The setting is exceptionally wild and scenic, famous for its unique landscape.
Access. Accessible via rugged 4x4 tracks or boat trips from Malabo, often as part of an adventure tour. Amenities are virtually nonexistent.
Notes. Remote location with heavy regional rainfall and strong coastal surf.
