The vibe

The coastline here feels rugged and untamed, defined by dark volcanic rock meeting the Indian Ocean rather than manicured resort strips. You will find the most pleasant atmosphere during the cooler, drier months from May to October when the humidity drops. It is a deeply local experience where you are more likely to share the sand with village fishermen than other travelers.
