The vibe
The Bahamas offers turquoise, powdery sand and gentle waves, a laid‑back island vibe. The dry season from November to April feels best, but the beaches are enjoyable year‑round. Most stretches are popular with tourists, yet many remain relatively uncrowded and feel like a local hideaway.

This long, sweeping stretch of white sand is the premier beach for visitors staying on Paradise Island. It offers a vibrant atmosphere with excellent swimming conditions and easy access to resort amenities.
Access. Within walking distance of most major Paradise Island resorts; public access points are available.
Notes. Can get crowded near the resort sections; walk further east for more solitude.

Located within Lucayan National Park, this expansive beach features a vast stretch of sand that reveals a massive, shimmering tidal flat at low tide. The shallow, crystal-clear water and natural beauty make it a serene escape from the island's busier ports.
Access. Accessible by car or taxi; part of the Lucayan National Park system with well-marked trails.
Notes. Best visited at low tide to experience the full extent of the sand flats.

Access. Primarily accessed via cruise line excursions or private boat charters.
Notes. The area is well-maintained and offers excellent swimming conditions.

Famous for its soft, rose-tinted sand created by crushed coral and foraminifera, this beach offers a stunning contrast against the turquoise Atlantic waters. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful and iconic shorelines in the Bahamas.
Access. Accessible via water taxi from North Eleuthera; the beach is walkable from the main settlement on Harbour Island.
Notes. The pink hue is most vibrant at the water's edge and during sunrise or sunset.
Ten Bay Beach, Eleuthera

A calm, shallow bay protected from the open ocean, making it perfect for relaxed swimming and wading. The sand is soft and fine, and the water remains tranquil even on windy days.
Access. Accessible by car; located on the Caribbean side of Eleuthera near Savannah Sound.
Notes. Ideal for families due to the lack of heavy surf.
Tropic of Cancer Beach, Exuma

Named for the meridian that crosses the beach, this crescent-shaped cove features blindingly white sand and some of the clearest water in the Exumas. It is a quintessential Caribbean postcard setting with calm, inviting conditions for swimming.
