Notes. Very popular on hot summer weekends; arriving early is recommended to secure a good spot on the grass.
Strandbad Faaker See, Lake Faak

Boasting some of the clearest drinking-quality water in Austria with a striking turquoise color, Lake Faak features pleasant grassy and pebbled shores backed by the dramatic Mittagskogel peak. The gentle shallows make it a fantastic swimming destination.
Access. Reachable by car or regional bus from Villach; located near the village of Faak am See.
Notes. Water temperatures in summer are relatively warm compared to other alpine lakes.
