Nestled in the Central Highlands, Da Lat is the premier adventure hub of Vietnam, famous for its intense canyoning trips that involve rappelling down waterfalls. The region also offers whitewater rafting on the nearby Da Nhim River, drawing thrill-seekers to its rugged, forested terrain.
Access. Accessible via flight or bus from Ho Chi Minh City; numerous specialized adventure tour operators in Da Lat center organize daily canyoning and rafting excursions.
Notes. Canyoning requires basic swimming skills and physical stamina; best visited during the dry season from November to April.
Mu Cang Chai

Mu Cang Chai is a world-class paragliding destination known for its breathtaking flights over the iconic terraced rice fields of Khau Pha Pass. Pilots flock here for the unique thermals and the stunning aerial views of the Yen Bai province's mountainous landscape.
Access. Located about 300km from Hanoi; paragliding festivals are held annually, and local clubs facilitate tandem flights and transport to the launch sites.
Notes. Flying is highly seasonal, typically peaking during the harvest season in September and October when weather conditions are most stable.
