Nestled beneath the towering peaks of the Bavarian Alps, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a premier alpine hub for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can tackle challenging limestone via ferratas, soar above the deep valleys on thermal paragliding flights, or take on nearby rushing alpine waters.
Access. Easily accessible by train from Munich. Local mountain guides and cable cars (like the Zugspitzbahn) provide access to high-altitude routes.
